The pizza box or pizza carton is a folding box made of cardboard in which hot pizza can usually be transported by a delivery service or when picking it up from the pizzeria. The pizza box must have a high mechanical strength, be stackable, thermally insulated with simultaneous moisture regulation and be suitable for food. As a disposable product, the pizza box is often printed with advertising and folded manually after being punched out. The pizza box differs from the packaging for frozen pizzas. This is folded by machine, contains the frozen product sealed in film and is similar to the outer packaging of other frozen products.
